 “My earliest memory of recognizing my ability to create art was in elementary school and watching my seamstress aunts make clothes for people. As my aunts watched me make doll clothes they shared sewing tips and techniques. Today sewing was the first art skill I developed.”

“Gloria Gammage Davis’s desire to learn other art skills led to pursuing classes in sculpting, beading, art quilting, knitting, crocheting, painting, ceramic, polymer clay, printmaking, and lapidary, eventually obtaining a BFA from Cheyney University. As a teaching artist, Gloria has taught classes at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Free Library, The Johnson House, Wynnefield Resident Association, Nile Swim Club, Germantown Friends School, Emelen Elementary School and Fleisher’s Art Memorial.
